Daily Itinerary

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After some rest, you will visit our office to meet the team and receive a detailed trek briefing from your guide. In the evening, we will host a welcome dinner. Overnight stay at a star hotel in Kathmandu.

You will take an early morning scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, offering stunning views of the Himalayan range. Upon arrival, you will meet the trekking crew and begin your trek, passing through Chauri Kharka, Cheplung, and along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing a suspension bridge en route. You will arrive at Phakding for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar, following the Dudh Koshi River and crossing several suspension bridges. Passing through Monjo for the Sagarmatha National Park permit check and Jorsale, you will begin a steep ascent to Namche. Along the way, you may catch your first glimpse of Mt. Everest. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

Day 5 is reserved for acclimatization in Namche Bazaar. You will take short hikes to nearby viewpoints and villages, such as Everest View Hotel and surrounding Sherpa settlements, for effective altitude adjustment and panoramic Himalayan views. The rest of the day is free to explore Namche, experience local culture, and, if available, visit the weekly market. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

Today’s trek leads to the quieter village of Phortse via a scenic route from Namche Bazaar. You will pass through Mong La, descend to Phortse Tenga, then cross the Dudh Koshi River and climb to Phortse Village. This less-traveled village offers stunning Himalayan views. Overnight stay at a basic teahouse in Phortse.

After breakfast, you will rejoin the main Everest Base Camp trail, following rocky paths along the Imjatse River with views of Tengboche Monastery across the valley. Passing through Pangboche, Somare, and Orsho, you will continue toward Pheriche and cross a suspension bridge before reaching Dingboche. This high-altitude village offers spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Island Peak, Lhotse, and surrounding peaks. Overnight stay in Dingboche.

Day 8 is set aside for acclimatization in Dingboche. You will take short hikes to nearby viewpoints and valleys to adjust to the altitude while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks and glaciers. The rest of the day is free to explore the village and local culture. Overnight stay at a teahouse in Dingboche.

Elevation Gain: 620 meters/ 2,034 feet
Trek Duration: 5 hours
You will trek to higher altitudes, ascending past Pheriche toward Thukla with views of Pumori, Lobuche, and Nuptse. You will cross Thukla Pass, home to memorials of fallen mountaineers, before continuing along the Khumbu Glacier moraines to Lobuche. Enjoy panoramic Himalayan views. Overnight stay in Lobuche.

Trek Duration: 7 to 8 hours
This day is a highlight of the trek as you journey to Everest Base Camp. Trek along the Khumbu Glacier moraines to Gorakshep, leave your luggage at the teahouse, and continue to Everest Base Camp. Enjoy views of the surrounding peaks, Khumbu Glacier, and Icefall before returning to Gorakshep for an overnight stay.

Elevation Gain: 479 meters/ 1,571 feet
Trek Duration: 6 to 7 hours
You will leave Gorakshep early for a sunrise hike to Kalapatthar, offering 360° panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and surrounding peaks. After returning to Gorakshep for breakfast, you will descend through Lobuche and Thukla to reach Pheriche for an overnight stay.

Elevation Loss: 610 meters/ 2,001 feet
Trek Duration: 6 hours
You will descend from Pheriche toward Kyang-Jima, re-entering the lush Khumbu forests. Stop at Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual heart of the region, then continue past Sansa Village along a winding trail to Kyang-Jima. Overnight stay with stunning views of Ama Dablam and surrounding peaks.

Elevation Loss: 770 meters/ 2,526 feet
Trek Duration: 5 hours
You will trek back toward Namche Bazaar, descending through forested trails beyond KyangJima. Cross the Dudh Koshi River twice via suspension bridges, pass Jorsale, exit Sagarmatha National Park, and continue a gradual ascent to Monjo for an overnight stay.

Trek Duration: 4 hours
On the final day of trekking, you will pass the Chauri Kharka airstrip and enter lush forests of rhododendron, pine, and oak, along trails with prayer wheels and mani walls. Continue through the villages of Chopling and Phakding before reaching Lukla, enjoying views of Kusum Kangur. Overnight stay in Lukla marks the end of your Himalayan trek.

After breakfast, board a morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, enjoying scenic views of hills, rivers, waterfalls, and the Himalayas. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and spend the day at leisure. Explore Kathmandu’s cultural sites or shop for souvenirs in popular markets like Thamel, Asan, and Mangalbazar. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 16 of your Express Everest Base Camp Trekking will officially mark the end of your remarkable adventure. Today, depending on your international departure flight schedules, our representative will pick you up at the hotel and drop you off at the airport.
